What do I need to run MagicStream?
A computer or phone with an internet connection: Windows 10/11, Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel), any Android 7+ phone or tablet, or straight in the browser (Chrome or Edge) on Windows, Mac or Linux. On iPhone/iPad, install it from Safari (Share → Add to Home Screen). On Windows download the MagicStream installer (about 72 MB, everything inside, no extra downloads): it installs by itself and keeps itself up to date. A laptop with an Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 and 8 GB of RAM handles several cameras. For streaming to several platforms at once, about 6 Mbps of upload per platform is ideal. If the internet slows down, Auto quality lowers the quality for you so the stream keeps playing.
Do I have to download MagicStream?
No. Click Open in your browser in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and log in with your account. Cameras, the mixer, EQ and effects, the AI director, Bible verses, pastor's notes, the phone remote and recording all work in the browser. When you go live, the browser sends one stream to the MagicStream live server, which passes it on to YouTube, Facebook and your other platforms, so streaming to several platforms uses only one upload. For big setups with many cameras in 1080p or 4K, the download is the better choice because it runs on your own computer. Your account, trial and plan are the same either way.
What does the MagicStream download do?
MagicStream-Setup.exe is the full installer: everything MagicStream needs is inside the one file, and every part is checked (digitally signed) before it is installed. It puts MagicStream on your desktop and in the Start menu. After that, one click starts MagicStream. It quietly runs the MagicStream server in the background on your computer (no black window) and opens the studio at magicstream.live, so you always have the latest version. Going live, recording and the phone remote and phone camera links run on your own computer and internet, at full quality. The first time, Chrome or Edge asks to let magicstream.live use MagicStream on this computer: click Allow. MagicStream checks and repairs its files by itself every time it starts. On fast internet you can use the 8 MB quick installer instead, which downloads the rest while it installs.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. Sign in and tap Download MagicStream for Android (MagicStream.apk, about 67 MB). One app works on every Android phone and tablet with Android 7 or newer: 64-bit and 32-bit phones (including budget and Android Go phones) and Intel tablets/Chromebooks. It is the full studio, full screen in landscape, with its own live engine inside, just like the Windows version: the phone itself sends your stream to YouTube, Facebook and the rest, adjusts the quality to the internet and to the phone's processor, saves recordings to the Gallery, and other phones can join as cameras over the same Wi-Fi or this phone's hotspot. When you install it, Android may ask you to allow installing apps from your browser: tap Settings, allow it, then Install. For long services keep the phone plugged in.
Is there a Mac version?
Yes (v1.0). Sign in and download MagicStream for Mac: Apple Silicon (M1–M4) or Intel. Drag MagicStream.app to Applications, then right-click → Open the first time (macOS asks once for apps outside the App Store). It has its own live engine like Windows, checks its signed files itself, and streams straight from the Mac.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes. Apple does not allow iPhone apps to be downloaded from websites, so on the iPhone you open magicstream.live in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen, and MagicStream installs full-screen like an app (see Install on iPhone). The iPhone also joins any Mac/PC/Android MagicStream as a wireless camera or sound remote by QR code. Going live from the iPhone alone uses the MagicStream cloud live server — ask us on WhatsApp if you need it switched on. A native App Store app is in preparation.
What is MagicPresenter?
It is professional church presentation software for a second computer (Windows or Mac): the person running the words uses it for Bible verses, songs, PowerPoint and media on the church screen, while MagicStream Studio runs the cameras and stream. It connects with the same code as the phone remote, sends everything it shows to the stream, receives the Studio program as a camera source, hears the preacher and finds quoted verses automatically. 3-day free trial, then KES 500/month (shown in USD automatically for users in the USA) — pay by M-Pesa Send Money to 0721 209 214. Sign in and download MagicPresenter for Windows or Mac, or open present.html online.
Google Play Protect is blocking the Android install — what do I do?
Because MagicStream for Android is downloaded from magicstream.live and is not on the Play Store yet, Google shows a caution screen. You do not need to turn Play Protect off: on the warning, tap More details → Install anyway. If it offers to scan the app, allow the scan. On Samsung phones with no “Install anyway” button, turn off Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker just for the install, then turn it back on. On other phones you can open Play Store → profile → Play Protect → ⚙ → “Scan apps with Play Protect”, switch it off, install, and switch it straight back on. Only install MagicStream from magicstream.live.
How does the free trial work?
Create an account, download MagicStream (or open it in your browser) and log in. Click Try free for 24 hours and you get every feature for 24 hours, with no payment. The 24 hours start when you click Try, not when you sign up, so you can install first. When the trial ends, MagicStream stays locked until you choose a plan, and your settings, scenes and sound presets are kept. Each computer can have one free trial.
How do I pay?
Open My account and choose a plan. In Kenya: pay with M-Pesa Send Money to 0721 209 214, then enter the phone number you paid from and the M-Pesa transaction code from the SMS (e.g. TJK3H5X2PQ). From abroad: pay in US dollars by KCB bank transfer or through WhatsApp. We check the payment and switch your account on, usually within minutes, and MagicStream unlocks by itself. If those don't work for you, tap WhatsApp and we will help you pay another way.
What is the launch offer?
The first 100 customers pay only KES 200 a month instead of KES 500. Start your free trial, then choose the launch price in My account. When every place is taken, the offer closes. You can keep paying KES 200 by inviting another church (see below).
How does the invite offer work?
Every account has its own invite link and code in My account. Share it with another church or ministry. When someone you invited is on a paid plan, your price drops from KES 500 to KES 200 a month, for as long as at least one person you invited keeps a paid plan. They get the normal 3-day free trial.
Does the Bible verse detection work in Kiswahili?
Yes. It understands English, Kiswahili and a mix of the two, for example "Yohana mlango wa tatu mstari wa kumi na sita" or "Romans 8 verse 28". The KJV and Biblia Takatifu (Neno) are built in.
Can I use my phone as a camera?
Yes, it is built in. In MagicStream click Phone cam, scan the QR code with an Android phone and tap Start camera in Chrome. No app and no cable. Connect as many phones as you like; each one works like a normal camera with layouts, smart shots and the AI director. For the best picture, put the phones on the same Wi-Fi as the studio computer and plug them into a charger.
Does the phone camera use my internet bundle?
On the same Wi-Fi, no. The picture goes straight from the phone to the studio computer over your local network. Only a tiny pairing message uses the internet. A phone on mobile data can also connect, but then the picture uses its data bundle.
What happens if our internet slows down while we are live?
Auto quality notices within a few seconds and lowers the video bitrate, and the resolution if needed, so viewers stay live instead of buffering. The stream does not stop and the sound is not affected. When the internet is steady again, the quality climbs back up by itself.
How many computers can I use?
One account can be used on a set number of computers (2 by default). You can see and manage your computers in My account. If you need more, chat with us.
Do I need YouTube or Facebook passwords?
No. MagicStream only needs the stream key and server URL that each platform gives you. Your passwords stay private.
